The Jersey City Department of Recreation & Youth Development is pleased to report that parks, playgrounds, spray parks, fields, and pools are open throughout the City.

Please visit https://jcrec.recdesk.com/Community/Facility to apply for a field permit. All individuals and entities using a City athletic field are required to adhere with all "Guidance forSports Activities" published by the New Jersey Department of Health.

We encourage residents to take advantage of all open City facilities for passive recreation activities. As a reminder, face coverings are required at all City parks for those ages 2 and over.

Pavonia/Marion Pool opened on July 3, 2020, and Lafayette/Johnston is scheduled to open on July 10, 2020. As a reminder, these pools are open only to Jersey City residents. Please visit https://jcrec.recdesk.com/Community/Facility?type=2 to see the pool hours and schedule.

COVID-19 UPDATE: While the City has resumed normal operations, we are taking the safety of our employees and residents seriously. Please be advised that face coverings are required to be worn at all times in municipal facilities, body temperatures will be checked upon entry, and additional cleaning and sanitizing of common areas will occur on a daily basis. We have also installed a variety protective barriers in any areas with possible close contact between people. All offices are appointment only until further notice and some employees may be working remotely or in modified work environments; please call or email to schedule a time to meet if necessary.
